CGDI BMW MSV80 Read MSV80 Specification:

Method 1: Read directly ISN code in the car, pls be assure car voltage is 12V above, directly connect OBD to operate–time about 5mins.
Methods 2: Split engine computer (DME) to operate–connect line as follows:
MSV80/D80/D85/wiring in the experimental bench.

How to Use CGDI BMW Programmer?

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Connect the Device

   • Make sure all cables are properly connected.

   • Run the CGDI PROG BMW software on your computer.

2. Start FEM/BDC Key Match

   • Go to FEM/BDC Key Match in the software.

   • The software will prompt: “Current FEM BDC needs ECU programming before key matching.”

   • Ensure your car battery has enough power.

   • Do not disconnect any cables during this process.

3. Read and Save EEPROM Data

   • Remove the FEM/BDC module from the car.

   • Use CGDI programmer to read data from the 95XXX EEPROM chip (e.g., 95128).

   • Wait for the chip data to be read.

   • Save the original EEPROM data file.

4. Write New EEPROM Data

   • Use the programmer to write the new calculated data back to the 95XXX EEPROM chip.

   • Reinstall the FEM/BDC module into the vehicle.

   • Write to the M95128 chip as required.

   • Make sure the voltage test platform is turned on.

5. ECU Programming

   • Begin ECU programming via the software.

   • If prompted again, write to the M95128 chip one more time.

   • Keep the voltage test platform on throughout.

6. Final EEPROM Restore & Coding

   • Remove the FEM/BDC module again.

   • Use CGDI to write back the original EEPROM data to the 95XXX chip.

   • Reinstall the FEM/BDC into the car.

   • Coding is successful!
