Description
Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Alfa Romeo Online Programming
JRC OBD Tools provides Chrysler Group (FCA/Stellantis) programming capabilities for both new and used module replacements across various model years. Here’s a breakdown of what you need for each scenario:
1. Programming a Brand New Module (Virgin/Unprogrammed)
-
Tool Required:
- J2534 Pass-Thru Device (e.g., Drew Technologies Tech2Win, Tactrix OpenPort, MHH OBD, etc.)
- JRC OBD Tools software (with valid license for Chrysler programming)
-
Process:
- Connect the J2534 tool to the vehicle’s OBD-II port.
- Use JRC’s software to program the new module (ECU, BCM, RF Hub, etc.) with the correct VIN and configuration.
2. Programming a Used Module (Second-Hand/Previously Used)
- Tool Required:
- J2534 Pass-Thru Device (same as above)
- MPI MicroPod 2 (or Clone) – Required for security access and writing used modules.
- JRC OBD Tools software (with Chrysler module programming support)
- Process:
- The MicroPod is needed to bypass security and perform VIN changes on used modules.
- JRC’s software communicates with the MicroPod to reset and adapt the used module to the new vehicle.
Key Notes:
- MPI MicroPod (Original vs. Clone):
- Original MicroPods are expensive but more reliable.
- Clones (Chinese versions) are cheaper but may have compatibility issues.
- JRC OBD Tools supports ECU, BCM, RFH, TPM, ABS, and other module programming for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat vehicles.
